George Mason University’s 50th anniversary celebration continued Friday, with the official unveiling of a job designed to rework its Science and Engineering Campus in Manassas, Virginia.
The college broke floor on a new Lifetime Sciences and Engineering Building and the considerably-anticipated Innovation Town Centre and University Village at Innovation tasks, which will enable the SciTech Campus to offer a total array of educational offerings and university lifetime experiences for students and community customers.
Officers from undertaking partners Stanley Martin Homes and Castle Rock Associates LLC joined point out, regional and college officials amid the about 200 guests on hand to usher in the new period.

The Life Sciences and Engineering Making, a 132,000-sq.-foot facility, will guidance pupils enrolled in STEM-H majors, this kind of as but not confined to kinesiology, materials science, forensic science, bioengineering and mechanical engineering.
With a scheduled completion date of August 2024, the $75 million facility will include specialised tutorial labs, classrooms, experiential discovering collaboratories, and school and administrative offices to guidance increasing university student and faculty communities on the SciTech Campus.

With the addition of the Daily life Sciences and Engineering Making and the simultaneous improvement of the Innovation City Center, the SciTech Campus will offer a residential campus working experience to college students enrolling in applicable STEM-H plans starting their freshman calendar year and extending through their PhD do the job. The Stanley Martin portion of the City Centre will present 1,100 townhomes for sale, even though the Castle Rock portion of the Town Centre will contain opportunity student home halls.
